MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy Director for Support
SUBJECT Alterations in
REFERENCE : Memo from Assistant for Administration,
NPIC, dated 19 May 1964
1. This memorandum contains a recommendation for Deputy
Director for support approval. The recommendation is contained in
paragraph 5.
Z. The reference requests authorization for the commitment
of funds and the issuance of work orders for 8 items of alterations and
improvements in as described and justified in Attach-
ments A through H in reference.
3. The first 6 items are requested because of organizational or
operational needs established by NPIC. They have been staffed out
and estimated by the General Services Administration Group Forces
or GSA Design and Construction Division through direct liaison of
Nl'IC. They will be funded from NPIC funds.
4. The last Z items are being handled through the Real Estate
and Construction Division, OL. A memorandum is being forwarded
which requests the Region to survey the window condensation problem.
The Region's study of the fumes exhaust problem is about completed.
The 2 problems are considered to be building deficiencies and it is
proposed to use construction funds now available.
S. It is recommended that the reference be approved subject
to satisfactory solutions being reached on the 2 items referred to in
paragraph 4 above.
