SUBJECT: Establishment of Working Fund - 1950 Fiscal Year
1. Your letter of 14 June 1949 u transmitted
a voucher for trensfer in the amount o `11 be given
appropriate attention as soon as funds are ma a available to this
Agency for the 1950 fiscal year.
2. The arrangement whereby a working fund will be established
with your Division for the 1950 fiscal year is in accordance with
previous understandings with respect to this Agency's participation
in the sponsoring of National Intelligence Surveys and the need for
certain name research projects on a continuing basis. The
is made up o o cover costs of miscellaneous name research
projects, an for work in connection with the National
Intelligence Survey program.
3. It is desired to confirm the need for continuing existing
arrangements with respect to the submission of duplicate financial
reports after the close of each month in order that the status of
the working fund as well as each approved name research project will
be readily available. The report pertaining to the projects should
contain the same information as agreed upon for the fiscal year 1949.
