This refers to our discussion of July 28, 1953, relative
to certain. outside work contemplated at the
You indicated that the current estimate for this work is approxi-
mately $150.,000-
I am of the opinion that every effort should be made to
limit the scope of the job and thereby reducing its cost. Further,
the work should not be undertaken until the entire warehouse proj-
ect is complete. This mould afford the opportunity to secure com-
petition rather than require that the contract be awarded to the
owner on the basis that since he now has a large construction crew
on the job other contractors should not be permitted to perform
work at the location.
