None of these is budgeted in FY 1975. 1. Contract Nurse NPIC: This matter has been discussed at OMS Management Conferences. DD/M&S has authorized a contract ceiling position. Funds for compen- sation of the nurse are now necessary. $12,000 2. Enlargement of OMS Medical Chart Room: _ modification (with resultin r g e location of the OMS Physical Requirements Officer) has also been discussed at an OMS Management Conference. 3. Employee Overtime for Conversion of Charts: 15,000 This is to convert some medical charts to a terminal-digit, color-coded system as part of our Information Processing System development (550 hours x $9 per hour). Regional Medical Officer Educational Travel: Travel expenses to permit three (3) Rm0s to attend refresher-type professional meetings in the USA. This is to assist them to maintain their professional cur- rency. (Attendance of at least one pro- fessional meeting a year is a reasonable t3El4 and common custom of practicing physicians.) 6. EKG Telecommunication Equipment: This is to pormit transmission of EKG signal data by satellite from an Agency station overseas to headquarters for computer processing, as part of our planning for development of a central laboratory con- cept. Spirometric Equipment Additional equipment to augment our present spirometric facility to permit the tape recording of data for computer storage, as part of our planning for computerization 4,tlUO of clinical data. 8.
