SUBJECT : Weekly Report
1. DCI/DC4 Luncheon: On 12 December the undersigned had
the pleasure o oi.n n; +r. Colby for a business luncheon which
Colby made three very significant comments. First, he wants to
propose a Joint Policy Committee on Communications be formed with
the Department of State for the purpose of working out mutual
policy problems. Secondly, he expressed a desire for the Agency
to have a "secure" telephone system with an instrument on "every
desk" and thirdly, he indicated the Agency pouch system possibly
should he under OC. In general the undersigned was quite encouraged
with the views expressed by Mr. Colby.
5X1A 2. New I3uildin OTS has withdrawn their requirement
5X1A for space fore, we are re-examining our plans
for a new building there at this time.

2 X1C 4. During a battery switching sequence on
211_)X1 A S December, Aerators were unable to bring up
in the high-power mode. Tests are being made to check various
failure possibilities before we activate the Automatic Charge
Controller bypass mode.

met this weer w t representatives from OJCS for the purpose

peripheral equipment. The meeting provided OJCS with several
significant items which they can now include in their planning.
