SUBJECT : Weekly Report
2. SKYLINK Secure Voice: A clocking incompatibility
problem between Headquarters and the U.S. Base Station has
been resolved. Testing to overseas points will be started
next week. There are still technical/operational familiarity
problems to be resolved before the secure voice capability can
be declared operational.
3. A FLASH precedence message from
Saturday required one our for Washin ton delivery
as a result of a fire and power outage at the Base Sta-
tion. Other than this one delay,o did an excellent job of
bringing up alternate bases and restoring power over the weekend.
4. Cable Dissemination System CDS : OC personnel met
with and six other representatives of the Central
Reference Service on 7 May to discuss the inter-relationship
between CDS and the CRS MAD and SAFE programs. After each
office briefed the other on the present status of their pro-
grams, the group identified specific areas of mutual interest
and agreed to arrange a meeting with representatives from OC,
CRS, OJCS, and ISG to ensure continued coordination of these
activities. The meeting is tentatively scheduled for 21 May.
