SUBJECT : Human Interaction and Assessment.
Laboratory
This memorandum is for your information and
suggests action in paragraph 4.
2. For several months, this. Office has been aware
that the Office of Technical Service, DD/S4T, is conducting
a one-week course called the "Human Interaction and Assess-
ment Laboratory." From reports received from a variety of
sources, I became somewhat disturbed as to the course content
and when an opportunity was presented, arranged for a Security
Officer to attend the course and to report back to me on its
specific content.
3. 1 am forwarding as Attachment A, for your
5X1A information and review, an informal report pre Us by Mr.
of this Office, describing his attendance
an react on to t e activities carried out during the course,
Attachment B is a memorandum from describing 25X1A
a sequel to the course he attended. I made this report
available to Dr. John. Tietjon, Director of Medical Services,
and have discussed it with him in some detail. Irrespective
of the title given the course, Dr. Tietjen and his Staff are
of the opinion that it is nothing more or less than "sensitivity

matter with the Deputy Director for Science and Technology
in terms of its content, its possible effects on the stu-
dents, and the resulting embarrassment to the Agency should
it become known that we conduct this t e Of training. I
am, of course, available as is Dr. Tieten, to discuss this
with you at your convenience.
