1. Transmittal Sheet No. 509, Federal Personnel Manual,
dated 22 July 1955, has just been received and distributed. We
are sending the attached copy to call your attention to changes in
Part 30, Chapter Z1, and in Chapter Ll, pertaining to the pro-rata
credit for leave.
2. Since application of the retroactive feature of these
provisions is at the initiative of the employee, no immediate action
appears necessary.
