Wider Dissemination of NIS Chapters 1
to non-IAC Officials
1. The NIS Committee approved an 26 November 1957 a list
of principal officers of the Government who, by reason of their
reopens ibilitios relating to foreign policy matters, should be made
aware of and have access to NIS Chapters 1 (Attachment A).
2. I have prepared a sample draft of proposed DCi letters
to these officials to which would be attached a Chapter I and an
NIS Reference Guide, including latest Production Status report
(Attachment B).
3. Before preparing the actual letters to these officials,
however, I would appreciate topside comments on the sample
draft.
