SUBJECT: HIS Printing Situation
1. I have, just reviewed the NIS printing situation at the
sad of FT 1959 and find that a mark" Improvement has occurred
during the year. The serious NIS backlog of material has been
reduced to a proper working level and the average printing time
per section has been lowered from 111 days prevailing in FY 1959
to 80 days during the last quarter of FT 1959.
2. This ontstssding perfo -nce has enabled us to get
NIS into the hands of users at least a month sewwr than heretofore.
3. Please convey to the Chief. Printing Services Division,
OL. and the staff of the Administration Building Plant my appre-
ciation for this *=optionally fine job which has so materially
benefited the HIS program.
