SUBJECT: Biographic Intelligence
1. After the Senior Staff rneeting this morning I visited
Paul Sorel and mentioned our joint draft memorandum for the rI/I
which had just been received yesterday as signed off on 20 February
by Huntington Sheldon for Mr. Cline, and therefore I was circulating
it for discussion by the NIS Corrsmittee. I would. however. need some
stateruent from BR on what and how they Intended to wind up their
corrmrnitment to 031. Sorel called in who said be would turn 25X1A9a
in the two KP's on Peru and Egypt that were nearly completed. but
did not intend to produce any more. - assured me that we 25X1A9a
would get the within a mionth. This would allow printin titre
before the end of the fiscal year.
I asked how we would explain tc the MS >>or rt- ittee the
apparent cancelation t j come 12 iter',.t row shown on the `? 63 srheekile.
After some discussion we developed the idea that these iterr,s would be
considered as transferred into the following fiscal year to be produced
under the BF prewar,,. -pror ised to wend me a statement 25X1A9a
