SUBJECT: Intszier Production for FT 1465
1. Called Art Nelson to szplais that Gsaly's last two pro dlactian
status reports showed further shortfall than promised in Novennber.
To keep our "cords straight, some memo of dissatisfaction from
A/D to Barr would swam in order. Interior had two mouths to go,
before we meat to kids an the FT bh budget, to show some upturn
in production prospects.
2. Nelson said Bess had used up 14 man months of NIS time
last tall on C & D work (Minerals Yearbook) w W were now "putting back"
16 m&n months of 3uMines eea-?NIS personnel time on the Nt8. Nelson
had assembled a number of meetings during the past few weeks striving
to improve NIS production. Nelsen feared that one or two Sections
would be held ever from FUS into YYb + (delivered in July or August).
3. Nelson wanted me to mast with him in about three weeks
(when neat report due) to review progress and prospects.
4. He said he was ,glad I was on his side. I said I hoped he
