Students of the Integrated Russian Language/Area Course (Phase II) have requested in a memorandum to the DTR that Mr. - be authorized to continue his lectures in this course an additional four weeks, until 31 May 1957. This is an area course conducted in the Russian language. 2, course on the Indian Sub-Continent was com- pleted on having had 13 students in regular attendance. The course appears to have filled a long-felt need. Several re- quests for a repeat of the course have been received. 3. The flags of the 81 United Nations have been received for display in the Language and Area School. One set will be hung in the Language Laboratory, and the other set in the corri- dor of Wing F, quarters aye. The Bulgarian test was given on 9 May for two people. Mr. Vasil Furnad of the Voice of America served on the panel for the oral test. 11.
