It was an en 'o able and productive session for all con- 25X1A9a cerned. has been assigned the lecture dealing with 0Th support facilities and was interested in obtain- ing as much information as possible on the services rendered DDP by the Overseas Branch. (A0/OS at that time had on her 25X1A9a desk a request from who is handling this subject in the OFC, for similar information. This request was answered by memorandums dated 15 March 1957.) The whole field of .AO/OS' responsibilities was discussed with 25X1A6a the= instructors and it was agreed that, in addition to the information furnished, the Overseas Branch would 25X1A9a attempt to provide with a "kit" of sample. training materials w..c have been supplied various over- seas stations for training purposes. A0/OS also briefed the instructors on the kinds of information 0TR needs in order to select suitable materials for use overseas; and discussed what OTR has learned from large, continuing pro- 25X1A6a grams, as well as suggested improvements or criticisms rece ved from overseas stations on current training programs. 25X1A9a b. was especially interested in materials on sur- veillance. TRAINING MATERIALS IN PREPARATION: b. Communism Bibliography: The Overseas Branch acted as intermediary in arranging for the preparation by OTR Library of a hand-tailored, annotated bibliography for on the principal aspects of communism. 5. TRAINING MATERIALS FORWARDED: 25X1A a. WE Two copies of the Staybehind Manual were sent to this headquarters desk for retention. b. OTR/PPS;CI Staff; Approximately one hundred copies of the sanitized version of OTR Library's comprehensive espionage bibliography have re- turned from Reproduction, where the 106-page documents were assembled. This version, which was sanitized by the Overseas Branch, has been distributed so far in one or more copies to the above. c. Two volumes of reference material have been forwarded 25X1A6a to - for the personal use of Two 25X1A9a other volumes are undergoing furth3r examination. One of the members of )&E was briefed on procedures for sanitizing and preparing material for overseas shipment, and on the method devised by AO/OS for direct contact with the Station through the series of dittoed memoranda. d. As much of the miscellaneous material left as could be identified was transmitted to the Station for his use. This amounted to about 76 items. The remainder, which was not organized or labeled in any way, is being retained in A%S' files. : Thirty-nine items on PP and PW subjects were forwarded to Chief Instructor, OFC, for his use and retention.
