Orientation Officer SUBJECT : Weekly Activities Report #8 13 February to 19 February 1957 REGULAR PROGRAMS 1. CIA Review: This program was held for overseas returnees on 13 February. 2. CIA Introduction: This program, scheduled for 18 February, was postponed until 25 February because the carpenters had not finished their work in the auditorium. They were replacing a number of the tiles in the false ceiling that had become warped or loose. They encountered difficulties and thus were not able to complete their work in the allotted time. SPECIAL LECTURES 25X1 1. At the specific request of DD/Sec (PPS), a lecture on "Communist Strategy and Tactics" was presented as part of the Area Security Officers Course put on by the Office of Security. 2. A lecture on "The Role of CIA" was presented on 15 February at the Command and Staff School, Maxwell Field, Alabama to 800 field grade officers enrolled in the full year course. The forty-five minute presentation, which was followed by a lively forty-five minute question period, was part of a series of four lectures on Sources of National Policy.
