1. CIA Introduction: On 15 July this program eras conducted
for persons.
2. FSO iriefing: On 11 July this program was conducted
for 65 persons. At the request of the Foreign Service Institute,
the June and July classes had been combined for this one tifne.

1. A presentation on the history of American intelligence
r~ras delivered in the Intelligence Orientation Course on 15 Jul_~ .
2. A two-hour lecture and discussion period on "CI.(~., the
T1~C, an?~. the NSC `T'oday" was given at the Strategic In%e11i~~nce
School. The audience attending this taro week summer course
put on by the SIS consists of reserve militar~r intelligence
personnel from al]_ over the country. They constitute ahigh-
caliber audience. Of the 125 members in attendance, some 20
per cent had Ph.D.'s, and another 20 per cent z~rere latryers.

3, On 12 July an informal lectL~~e and discussion period
lasting 32 hours eras conducted for the National Security Agency
Senior Officers Course. It was the opening day of their tT~ee-
nonth course and served as an orientation to intelligence and
the national security structure. The briefing was somewhat
different from other briefings usually given here in that it
related special intelligence with other forms of intelligence.
`i'he chief instructor of the course indicated aftertirards that
tTiis briefing should be a permanent part of the Senior Ufficers
Course.

1. On 11 July the OTR Orientation Officer attended atwo-
hour lecture on the mission and organization of the FBI at the
5?trate~ic Intelligence School.
