Initially there arose a problem of communication (on the part of the students) stemming from some preconceived notions on tradecraft terminology and a too rigid adherence to the definitions in the Tradecraft Manual. These difficulties were gradually overcome and their grades compared most favorably with previous groups. These students worked hard to comprehend what was apparently an entirely new field for them and for this reason 25X1 their final comprehension of the material may be more lasting.
