As you know I am establishing a special short-course on counterintelligence in the USAF Special Investigations School. In making this course of full benefit, I am seeking assistance outside the Air Force from selected agencies which have long and extensive experience in this field. 2. Major General Richard G. Prather, Commander., U. S. Army Intelligence Center, Fort Holabird, Maryland, has agreed to make available instructors who will present one phase of this course. I an of the opinion that it would be extremely beneficial in presenting a well-rounded program if I could call on your agency for similar assistance. 3. The Commandant of the USAF Special Investigations School has had several informal discussions with members of your staff regarding this course and they have been most helpful in furnishing advice and guidance concerning the curriculum. 4. The course is scheduled to begin on 4 January 1960, and will be pre- sented at our location in Washington. Subjects currently being presented in the courses at your school and covering about 54 hours would do much to make this course what I have in mind. These subjects have been dis- nX1A9a cussed with of your staff and. he is familiar with the material I would like to have covered. I am advised that these subjects can best be presented by members of the staff of the Central Intelligence Agency. They would be scheduled for the period 4-14 January 1960. 5. Attached is a list of the subjects to which I refer. Your cooperation in making available instructors to give these presentations would be appreciated. 6. 1,am l9oking forward to hearing from you in the near future. 1 Atch J 01th M.
