SUBJECT. TRAINING EVALUATION, COVERT ACTION OPERATIONS
SEMINAR, 25 - 28 June 1967
1. The main objective of the seminar is to improve
capabilities to direct, conduct, or support covert action
operations. A secondary object is to enable the partici-
pant to identify and understand those problems as compared
to other operations of the Clandestine Services.
2. Officers attending this seminar varied widely in
grade and experience. This diversity was useful in that
it allowed the more junior participants to absorb and
question the experience of the senior officers, while they
in turn re-examined old experiences from fresh points of
view.

CA experiences of his division. Evenings consisted of
"open-end" type discussions, usually concerning current
policy questions, drawing heavily on the latest thinking
as expressed by the senior individuals present.
