Approved For Release 2001/03/03 : CIA-RDP78-05795AO 200020019-3 SECRET 5 July 1967 SUBJECT. TRAINING EVALUATION, COVERT ACTION OPERATIONS SEMINAR, 25 - 28 June 1967 1. The main objective of the seminar is to improve capabilities to direct, conduct, or support covert action operations. A secondary object is to enable the partici- pant to identify and understand those problems as compared to other operations of the Clandestine Services. 2. Officers attending this seminar varied widely in grade and experience. This diversity was useful in that it allowed the more junior participants to absorb and question the experience of the senior officers, while they in turn re-examined old experiences from fresh points of view. 25X 1 A9a 3. Instructing participants included Mr. _, O.T.R., Chid:f Instructor, as well as visiting members of the CA Staff, Office of the DDP and CA officers -from each of the divisions within the DDP. Each of these individuals treated a certain activity within the CA field, and also discussed in general the more interesting CA experiences of his division. Evenings consisted of "open-end" type discussions, usually concerning current policy questions, drawing heavily on the latest thinking as expressed by the senior individuals present. 25X1A9a 4.
