The U.S. State Department allowed me the use of a Map of
the World, Miller Cylindrical Projection , Code 50714, 1-65,
printed in black and blue which they stated originated with
your agency. We are planning to use this map in a forth-
coming geography textbook which we are manufacturing for
one of our customers. As this map appears to be in .the
public domain, we attempted to photograph it, but. we could
not separate shorelines from open water screening.
I realize you are not in the business of supplying maps, but I
hoped you would be able to inform me as to where I might
procure a black and white print of this map or a film nega-
tive or positive for which we would be happy to reimburse
the supplier for any expense incurred. -A more recent
printing would also be desirable for updated boundaries.
Any information you might have on copyright protection, if
any on this projection would also be helpful. We would appre-
ciate an early reply.
