MEMORANDUM FOR:
THROUGH Chief, Operations Training Group
SUBJECT Training epor on Special Weapons Training Course
1. During the week 10 - 14 September 1973, the following six
staff officers from the Office of Security artici ated in a s e 'al-
ized weapons training program
schedule attached): F
2. The purpose of this program was to increase the effectiveness
and qualifications of these officers to handle internal weapons training
requirements within the Office of Security.
3. Course content included:
a. Proficiency training in the use of handguns including:
safety precautions in handling weapons, mechanical operation,
marksmanship techniques, range regulations and procedures, and
the maintenance and upkeep of weapons.
b. Familiarization training in the employment of submachine
guns and shotguns including: safety aspects, capabilities and
limitations, mechanical operation, range firing exercises, and
care and cleaning.
c. All of the participants fired the Agency handgun qualifi-
cation test and qualified with the Browning H.P. 9mm, the Cal. .45
Ml9llAl automatic pistols, and the Model 10 Cal. .38 Special Revolver.
Handgun Qualification Certificates will be forwarded to their office
under separate cover for inclusion in their respective personnel
records.

SUBJECT: Training Report on Special Weapons Training Course
4. Throughout the course, all of the officers displayed a cooper-
ative and responsive attitude in performance of training requirements.
Prior to departure, they expressed their satisfaction for the staff
effort and Support services rendered in their behalf.
5. This report is to certify that all of the officers listed
have satisfactorily completed the prescribed instruction.
