pared about 1,250 frames of material which has taken subjects from 40 to 60
hours to complete. The program kas been designed to teach the student the
elements of reading, writing, speaking, and understanding Mandarin Chinese;
the results on a tryout of the program on a total of 20 subjects are not

within the next eight to ten months.
b. Heavy emphasis was placed on preparing list of character
traits which could serve as guides for predicting subject behavior
in various frames of reference.
c. Requirements were levied on those present to come up with
lists of situational observations which could serve as guides in pre-
paring indirect assessments.
d. Supporting clinical research on the system was reviewed and a
determination made of the extent and direction of future needs.
