1. In a 7 May interim telephone response to the 2 May
memorandum from USAF Training Directorate which requests two
spaces in our 28 May Counter-Insurgency Program Planning
Course, I informed Lt. Colonel Knight that invitations would
shortly issue from CIA for two students each from four Depart-
ments and Agencies, and undertook to reply in writing to
USAF when the CIA invitation is dispatched.
2. In response to Mr. Helmst expression of concern that
EOD JOTs are not suitably indoctrinated into the disciplines
of the Clandestine Services, I sent memoranda to five senior
CS supervisors requesting consultation with each on this
matter.
3. While in New Haven leave, I discussed with
Messrs. participation in the JOT
program.
6. Attached are Weekly Activities Reports from Training
Assistance Staff, Headquarters Training, and Covert Training.
