A. SIGNIFICANT ITEMS

B. OTHER ITEMS
1. Information Reporting, Reports and Requirements (IRRR)
NE, began on 30 April 1962 an indefinite period
of practice in collecting, organizing, and expressing positive infor-
mation. The additional practice is an extension tutorially of his
training in Information Reporting, Reports and Re uiremsnts (IRRR) No. 37
(26 February - 16 March 1962). Although Mr. passed the course 25X1A9a
with a grade of satisfactory, his instructor was dissatisfied with
Mr. evident contentment with just getting by when his potential
level of performance was quite evidently excellent. As the result of
the instructor's expressing his dissatisfaction, Mr.- traininS25X1A9a
officer and his field base chief requested further training for him
in an attempt to get him to realize his potential. He is showing
progress in reaching a higher level of performance than he did in the
regular IRRR course.
2. Information Reports Familiarization (IRF)
A group of five students in Information Reports Familiarization (IRF)
are being instructed tutorially, a normal procedure since the cours25X1A
is a production and not a listening one. Two of the grow are from
FE Division, two from NE Division, and one. from the FI
Group. Two are headed for field assignments involving the preparation of

information reports; the others are similarly involved at
Headquarters. One is an operations officer. The grade
level is from GS-4 to GS-11.
3. Counterintelligence Operations (CI/OPS)
a. Course No. 44 is in its final week and progressing
satisfactorily.
25X1A8b b. The EE has forwarded to me a BBC TV
25X1A2d3 film interview for possible use in CI training
courses. It may also be useful in the CAO and could show
the inter-relationship between CA and CI.
4. Counterintelligence Familiarization (CI/FAM)
The schedule for Course No. 31 has been completed and
will be distributed soon. Fourteen persons are enrolled in
the course as of this date.
5. Records Officers Course (ROC)
a. Course No. 11 was completed on Friday, 27 April.
Twenty students were in attendance. ROC No. 12 commenced
Monday, 30 April with thirty-one students plus one who is
making up for two days missed in ROC No. 11.
b. There will not be any ROC's starting in May. The
next scheduled ROC will commence Monday, 4 June to be
followed by another one starting 18 June.
6. Clandestine Services Review (CSR)
The schedule and guest speakers list for Course No. 37
which begins Monday, 14 May, is almost completed. The schedule
will be published 3 May.
7. Covert Action Operations Course (CAO)
Course No. 55 began on 30 April with an enrollment of
thirteen students.

8. Scientific and Technical Operations (s&i)
a. The memorandum noted in section B. paragraph 5 of
WAR No. 16 was discussed with the DDP/TRO on 1 Mey 1962.
