THRU : Chief, Operations School, 0TR
FROM , Chief, Training Assistance Staff,, Operations School
SUBJECT: Weekly Activity Report #37
16 - 22 November 1965
A. SIGNIFICANT ITEMS:
None to report.
B. OTHER ITEMS:
1. PERSONAL MEETINGS FILM:
CI Staff requested TAS to reappraise the classification of
the old (1953) OTR film "Personal Meetings," because of its
widespread use with both U.S. and foreign trainees, and the
confusion in the records as to its classification. The film
is a training lecture on personal meetings, with charts,
illustrated by appropriate clips from commercial films.
~eviewed it and recommends that its classification be
rom SECRET' to CONFIDENTIAL because of its age and the
treatment of the subject. The Film Branch, CI/OA, and Graphics
Register will be advised of this recommendation.
2. TRAINING MATERIAL FOp
As support for a four weeks' training program for the new
pr v e across-the--
board training materials in tradecraft. He requested papers
which can show to the trainee and eventually release
if the trainee asks for them as he is expected to do.
We have collected 41 items fort o review on 23 November.

3. VSS DINNER:
Because of General Eisenhower's recent heart attack, the
VSS dinner (WAR #33, 25 October 1965) has been postponed.
The Committee hopes that it can be held some time in January
1966.
4. THE WAR OF THE FLEA:
scanned The War of the Flea: A Study of Guer-
rilla Warfare Theory and Practice, by Robert Taber (New York)
Lyle Stuart, 1965) and found it a superficial., third-hand
rehash of Guerrilla Warfare since WW-II, and a book not worthy
of serious consideration.
