SIGNIFICANT ITEMS Nothing to report. B. OTHER ITEMS 1. On 9 November 1965 I spoke wit SR Division, as he had once served a tour nd has an interest in training, about SR training as o now told me that to the best of his knowledge SR was not itself doing any training of its staff personnel. I intend to pursue the matter of the exact status of training in both SR and EE Divisions. My efforts to make contact wit nd begin a discussion with him of the present program which we are conducting for EE, and to determine if there is any other training activity being given, has not been possible because of involvement in the present program. He is also to be out all this week. 2. is making a background study of the TSD bloc of instruction proposed for inclusion in a two-year CT training program. Apparently the 23-da ackage proposed by former TSD Training Officer is not accep the new TSD/TRO. A any rate , ave furnishe ith TSD coverage in the present training of the CTs. nce e as had an o ortunit to study this, he would like to r n e a meeting first wit and then wit It was o proposed at a first go-around be held in his office before seeing the ADDP. While th of the meeting was to consider a holding type operation which would I'D permit a certain amount of reading and indoctrination while final clearances were pending, this was quickly conside ractical and not truly a saving of time needed for training. 7 problem, 25X1 as I noted at this meeting, is its inability to determine e numbers that it will have aboard at any one time, thus creating a situation incompatible with regularly scheduled training courses. Hopefully, we can resolve these problems by attendance in our regularly scheduled courses, but frankly I doubt that we will be so lucky. 4. On 16 November I discussed the NIS Coordination Conference wit He mentioned having discussed the matter wit an tat and I should plan to attend. Als is hopeful o zavm present. 5. advi sed me tod ay that will 25X1 25X1 present the lecture to t he O C on the op erations o n 23 Novem ill sub st Gen. omprising the graduation exercise 6.
