SIGNIFICANT ITEMS None II. OTHERS A. Both the DDI and DDS&T Training Officers have advised us that it is doubtful that they will have any nominations for the National Interdepartmental Seminar either in September or in subsequent runnings. B. We have received correspondence from Mr. James Beck, Director of the Executive Seminar Center, Kings Point, advising us of the progress made at the Center during the past year. Mr. Beck is being reassigned to Washington to take over the develop- ment of a second Center to be established on the West Coast. In addition to a detailed report on the activities at Kings Point, Mr. Beck appended a memo from Mr. John Macy, Chairman of the Civil Service Commission to President Johnson in which he told the Presi- dent of the success of the Kings Point enterprise. The President responded by urging Government Agencies to continue to send people for this training but to be highly selective in their choice of personnel. This paper is presently being circulated. C. Colonel Commandant of the Defense Intelligence School, was advised that CIA would have only one nominee for the 7 September Advanced Intelligence Course.
