We had tried to contract for this at $8 an hour, but the Office of
Logistics in negotiating with had mentioned $10, and

we perforce must go along with it. I believe that this will be a

E. Concerning our Off-Campus fall program,
University to begin our program on 20 September. We will
register students for this on the 9th and 10th of September and
are planning counseling sessions for students with
on 1 September. Similar arrangements are being negotiated
with American University for the two courses we propose to
offer this fall under AU sponsorship.
F. We sent a letter on 23 June 1965 to the Director
of the Kings Point Executive Seminar Center, New York, request-
ing that 14 training spaces be reserved for CIA's use in specific
scheduled Seminars to be held at the Center during Fiscal Year
1966. Though our total requisition is somewhat larger than our
preliminary estimate for Kings Point, our informal negotiations
,,,,with officials at the Center give reason to believe that our needs
will be met. What we consider a wholesome development is that
Agency components have expressed a desire to participate in six
different seminar offerings in addition to the ever-popular Skills
and Goals of Management program.

are schedju.Lea to leave us in the very near future. We
are eagerly anticipating files on possible replacements but thus
far have had no appropriate nominations. The departure of
either of these ladies without an appropriate replacement will
leave a big hole in our operational capabilities. I report this
merely for information and not as criticism for I am aware that
our Personnel Branch is doing all that it can to find us appropriate
replacements.

H. On 18 June I attended the graduation of the
Defense Intelligence Course. This is the ten-month Defense In-
telligence School Course which had began last September and
with which I was in close contact through March of this year.
It was a brief ceremony and not too impressive.
