There is some question concerning the qualifications of
the Logistics candidate vice) We expect
to receive the Operations School position on this candidate in the

briefing with Office of Personnel representatives. fie was particularly
interested in the possibility of giving up his military retirement and
converting to a civilian retirement status sometime in the future.

Retirement Board for appropriate action.

Resignations
1. GS-03 Clerk Typist in OS CT has submitted
her resignation to be effective Friday, 4 June 1965. plans
to take the summer off and then attend the Catholic Un vers ty in
September to study Art.

chased a new home. The Personnel Branch is attempting to locate suitable
replacements for OS/HT.
Summer Employee
in our weekly dated 12 May 1965, we erroneously reported that
did not qualif for summer employment this year.
We have si en advised by that this information was
incorrect. did very we in her previous test and was
therefore a v se tat s e would not be retested this year. She actually
is ranked at the top of the qualified summer employees list.

Testin
At your suggestion, as scheduled for the
Programming Aptitude Test. We have been advised that she did
pooriy~attaining a score of 34 which is equivalent to a "D".

Illnesses
i. who re-entered Fairfax Hospital on 15 May for
observation and follow-up treatment of surgery performed several weeks
before, returned to his home on Tuesday, 26 May, Members of Ed's office
visited him yesterday and reported that he seems to be doing nicely.
It is doubtful whether or not Ed will return to work before his retire-
ment on 1$ June 1965.

His parent office, Logistics, and the Agency Medical Services people
are checking with Walter Reed officials.
3. is still making progress in her recovery from~a
back injury susta ne several weeks ago. She is able to be out of bed
for about two hours a day. More X-Rays were taken at the hospital
yesterday, but, of course, the evaluations have not been completed yet.
As of now, it appears that she will be incapacitated for 6 to 12 months.

attended the annual Employee Activity Association trophy
presentat ons in the Agency auditorium on Tuesday, 25 May 195. Mr. Echols
and Mr. Kirkpatrick were among the official guests present who participated
in the ceremonies. A special highlight of this event was the designation
of an award for General Carter "in recognition of his continued contribution
to the EAA''. it is expected that this award will be presented to General
Carter at one of the Wednesday USIB Meetings at Agency Headquarters.
