the Brooking* Ist4titution where a pa.nel discussed the advantages and
disadvantages of a Federal Staff College. The bulk of the discussion was
focused on the problems of training in a bureaucratic 3thaation. The con
census was that a Federal Staff College would probably not meet the
training needs of the government any better than the variety of facilities

Members of the Registrar Staff and other individuals who have had
dealings with
the new DDP Training Officer,are impressed
with the way he has taken hold of DDP training problems. There seems
to be greater interest in the training of DDP personnel and nominations
are being made promptly.

Board of National Estimatea and ONE Staff Chiefs. r. Kent talked to
the class and answered questions on a variety of subjects ranging from
the 1962 missile crisis to South Vietnam. Mr. Kent was very frank with
the CTs and his freshness and enthusiasm made a great impression.
