SUBJECT: Weekly Report #26: Defense Intelligence School (DIS)
13 September - 17 September 1965
1. was most effective in his one-hour session with
the Attache class. I was certain that he would be very much at ease with
a seminar group, but it was a privilege to watch his captivating manner
as he held forth in a more formal situation.
2. All arrangements were accomplished by - to accommodate 25X1A
a DIS request for quota to attend the JIB course. Quota, hotel accommo-
dations, office address, and person to contact upon arrival were trans-
25X1A mitted by me to -attending for the three-week period from
1 - 19 November.
3. OCR participants were first-rate as they aided the would-be
analysts from the Civilian course to understand the various bits and
pieces of library, machine, documents, and biographic support.
4. During the past week I was engaged 1 several assists to Agency
(reservists seeking DIA speakers or materials lncidentally,fDIS has'now
authority to call for any qualified reservist who can assist the school.
y a simple procedure worked out with DIA, a named individual may obtain
two-weeks active duty in support of DIS from Army, Navy, Air Force, or
Marine sources. This new arrangement may prove attractive to s=e OTR
reservistsjat Headquarters who have not been able to obtain 25X1A
y" " active-duty tours.
5. During leave this week, I'll be in Canada--encircling Lake
Ontario--and in upstate New York.
