SUBJECT : C*IS Action on IG Survey of the Ci4S
Progress Report on Reep mnendation No. 10
1. Recommendation No. 3.0 states that the Director of Medical
Services and the Director of Personnel take steps to reduce sub-
stantially the amount of time required for processing applications
for medical disability retirement.
2. The undersigned will review all medical disability cases
on a weekly basis to determine current status of the case. A report
of this review will be forwarded to the Director of Medical Services.
This procedure will act as a control mechanism. It is suggested
that cases that are not evaluated by the Psychiatric Staff and can
be supported for medical disability retirement because of the Clini-
cal Division findings not be reviewed by the Clinical Review Board
in an effort to out down the processing time.
