We have just received the status report of the DD/S
Historical Program covering the fiscal year ending 30 June 1971. I was
disappointed to note that there is very little progress to report from OMS
and that, given the present rate of progress, the Office of Medical Services
seems likely to be the only component in the Support Directorate which will
not have completed the catching-up phase by the 31 December 1971 deadline.
I would appreciate it if you would give this problem
your personal attention and make every possible effort to accelerate the
program. I am most anxious to have the catching-up phase completed by
the end of this year.
