MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Status Report of OMS History
1. who is now coordinating Support
Directorate histories phoned 1 December to thank us for the
list we provided of officials who have headed OMS divisions/
staffs, and to request certain additional information for Dr.
Ehrmann who is to brief Colonel White.
2. Additional information requested:
a. Who in OMS is writing each of the several
parts of the OMS history?
b. What is the estimated percentage of each of
these parts completed?
c. What are the estimated completion dates?
d. Is there anything else pertaining to the OMS
history which we feel should be covered in its history
that is not presently provided for? And if so, when
could this be completed?

4. was also informed that since OMS support
was involved in all of the above sub-programs, we are considering
including OMS support history in these several sub-programs,
making a separate Support Program history unnecessary.
5. In response to his query re the need for anything else
to be covered in the OMS history (paragraph 2d above), 25X1A9a
was informed that we had mentioned this to our staff and the
response was generally in the negative, was asked 25X1A9a
however to clarify the intent of this question, an y way of
an example he suggested that perhaps another OMS monograph might
be an "overview" of the OMS for the period 1957-1965. We thanked
him for his suggestion and told him we would give this appropriate
consideration.
