for 8 November. Mr. and his staff have cart
changes under severe pressures of time.
b. In addition to Gen. Carroll and his staff from DIA, about 35
USIB visitors from Navy,. State, and NSA are expected to attend.
Industrial College Lectures
25X1A9a
Mr.~ attended two lectures at the Industrial College of
the Armed Forces last week. Dr. Carleton Coon of the University of
Pennsylvania spoke on the anthropological and cultural backgrounds
of underdeveloped areas and Dr. F.S.G. Northrop of Yale spoke on
ethnic and cultural factors relating to the development of the
United States. Of the two, Dr. Northrop's presentation was far
superior and a presentation of this type would be most appropriate
in the Mid-Career Program.
4. Communications Refresher Course
The Office of Communications has made a firm request for the
resumption of the Signal Center Refresher Course next spring. A
decision as to dates will be made by mutual agreement after the first
of the year. The latter part of April or early May appears to be
the most likely time.
