This substantial increase in support for this course over the past
18 months has corm mainly from TSD, WH, NE, and FE Divisions.

The third running of this week-long course began on 6 November
with only 16 students out of a nuotirmum potential of 28 attending. The
contract instructor is somewhat concerned as are we over the diminish
ing number of students but ive have no ready answer to the problem.

Those attending the present course, although not as vocal as some
earlier groups, appear to be learning what they need to know about
the general system* approach to problem solving.

The Language School Is continuing its support to the USDA
Graduate School's Russian course for NASA officers involved to
the joint U. S. - Soviet space project. After supplying them with
recommendations for materials and enough tapes to get them

such a program for the Language School. The estimated cost is
$3000. 00 for one intern per summer. The Language School hopes to
