I EMORANDt FOR: C/OTG
SUBJECT : Basic Operations Training
In reviewing the memorandum dated September 1971 which outlined
the objectives of the course, it appears that the course and the adminis-
tration of it were successful, I feel the course was as comprehensive as
it set out to be and covered most of the areas thoiroughly. However, in
reviewing the course outline I notices several presentations which I felt
to be outstanding and some which I felt could have been given more consider-
ation.
I found all of the technical training presentations to be comprehensive,
well paced, and well taught. Considering the fact that all technical experts
are not teachers and all teachers ape not technical experts, I feel that a
well rounded group was established for the presentations.

Another outstanding job was done by Mr.- and his Reports Staff.
Taking such a necessary evil and making it palatable was quite an undertaking.
I feel that the Hopefully Helpful Hints Handouts were amd thl most Helpful
Handouts of the course. This staff's devotion to after hours assistance was
also one of the stronger teaching/learning phases of the course.
There were several presentations during the course which I felt were
excellent presentations, on topics of great importance to a junior case officer,
but which could have been given more attention in the course. Either the topic
could have been expanded or additional presentations set up on similiar or
related topices or experiences. In this group I will place the following:
