SUBJECT : Item for DDS Weekly
1, I suggest you put something like this in the Weekly to DDS on the
problem of foreign films:
"We have been completely unsuccessful in our efforts to get
commercial films with Spanish and French subtitles for use in
ALT training programs where students speak only those languages.
We have tried all the usual bureaucratic approaches - formal
requests, informal requests, meetings, etc., all to no avail.
We do not understand why this Agency which regularly procures
much more difficult things cannot obtain foreign language films.
2. If you want to refer to some of our requests to CRS the papers are
attached. Please return them.
