Fm rm "&w Approved For Release 2002/06/17. f - 8-06363A000300030002'7 30 July 1971 MEMORANDUM FOR: Director of Training SUBJECT: Weekly Activities Report No. 30 26 - 30 July 1971 1. Four Agency employees will attend IBM's next Data Processing for Intelligence Community Executives Course in Poughkeepsie, New York. This course is designed to familiarize top "intelligence executives" with IBM equip- ment and provide an insight into computer capabilities and limitations, programming languages, and to define the substance of intelligence problems. Agency nominees: 2, AIR received from the Office of Computer Services the computer listings for course and facility dictionaries, edit transactions, and edit update error listings. We also received Information Science Training for FY 1971 which we gave to CIA Representative on the USIB Sub- committee. Because of computer problems, we have not as yet received the alpha listing, the two listings we distribute to the Agency's Component Training Officers, the one by course, and the two external runs. 3. This week AIR received a second 3M Microfilm Reader Printer machine which has a wide screen for easier viewing. The reviewing of the microfilms of OTR's official files is going very slowly and we are finding many cartridges that will have to be refilmed. Filming has been done by various employees from the clerical pool who are awaiting permanent assignment.
