MEMORANDUM FOR: Director of Training
SUBJECT . Weekly Report of School of Intelligence and
World Affairs No. 36, 3 - 9 September 1971
COURSE ACTIVITIES
1. Intelligence and World Affairs
Our one-week postponement -- from 7 to 13 September -- required
the re-scheduling of each guest speaker. We are pleased to report
that we received maximum cooperation -- there were no refusals and
very few gripes.
2. Advanced Intelligence Seminar
A.I.S. #6 opened on 8 September with
25X1A6a a full enrollment of 25 students. The first evening served as a "mixer"

nomenclature and inter-Agency relationships. The formal part of the
program began on 9 September with discussions led by the Director of
Training and the Executive Director-Comptroller.
3. Midcareer Course
The four Directorates have submitted their nominations for the 30th
Midcareer Course, scheduled for 26 September through 5 November 1971,
as follows: Intelligence Directorate - 7; Support Directorate - 8;
S&T Directorate - 4; and Clandestine Service - 15.

likely and 3 possible. We plan to publicize the February IPC to give
non-CTs the opportunity to enroll. The October class will be the last

to receive the full CT training program, including the ITC and OFC;
the members of the February class will have had only the IWA. To
reflect the difference in needs of these groups, we plan to reduce
the length of the October IPC, but to take a completely fresh look
at CT needs for the February course.
