SUBJECT : Advanced Management Program - Harvard
University
1. I understand that because was withdrawn from
attendance at the upcoming Advanced Management Program at so late
a date, Harvard has declined to consider an alternate. If I recollect
correctly, this is the first time in many years that we have not had
a representative in this course at Harvard.
2. Since we may well be confronted by a similar situation when
nominations are made for the next running with John Clarke as the
candidate, I suggest you might discuss with Harvard the possibility
of our nominating a principal and an alternate to them, both of whom
could be processed through their selection mechanism. Should
Harvard accede to this approach, we would have some assurance
that an Agency candidate would attend in the event that we had a
last-minute cancellation.
3. If you feel that this is a good idea, would you check it out
with Harvard and let me know their reaction.
