- Amendment to DD/I List of
Approving Officers submitted on 22 March 1960
1. The individuals listed on the attached memorandum to
the Chief, Finance Division are to replace those OSI names on the
composite list of 22 March 1960 submitted to the Comptroller in
accordance with These people will have the
authority to authorize all advances or expenditures of confidential
funds and all obligations of vouchered funds with the concomitant
responsibilities. I am assured by OSI that is 25X1A9a
completely familiar with the financial set-up in that office and
in many respects is more qualified to grant such approvals than
some of the more senior people who do not deal on a continuous
basis with the financial picture there. Furthermore, any
significant actions on her part would be cleared, at least in
principle, with her superiors.
2. In light of the above I think these designations make
sense and reflect the selection of those people in the office
who are most knowledgeable and best equipped to handle this function.
