1. AFTER ANALYSIS OF RECENT KEYHOLE PHOTOGRAPHY OF LAUNCH
AREAS I-2, I-3, AND B-4, TYURATAM MISSILE TEST CENTER, CIA/IAD
CONCLUDES THAT THESE ARE TYPICAL TYPE III-C SINGLE SILOS UNDER
CONSTRUCTION AND THAT CONSTRUCTION IS PROGRESSING NORMALLY FOR THIS
TYPE OF SITE. THIS IS POINTED OUT AS QUESTIONS HAVE ARISEN REGARDING
THE DESCRIPTION OF THESE SILOS AS BEING APPARENTLY
CONFIGURATION IN THE OAK FOR

OBSERVED OVER THE CORING. THE EST_ - D STARTING DATES FOR LAUNCH
SITES 1-2 AND 1-3 ARE AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER 1965 RESPECTIVELY. A
COMBINATION OF SNOW MELT ON THIS STRUCTURE AND THE POOR QUALITY OF
THE PHOTOGRAPHY WOULD GIVE THE APPEARANCE.OF AN APPARENT CIRCULAR
D. ALL THREE SITES ARE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO I-1, A-3,
AND B-2 WHICH ARE THREE OF THE ORIGINAL TYPE III-C SITES CONSTRUCTED
AT THE RANGE.
