THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION RELATES TO A PRELIMINARY REVIEW OF MISSION 1036-2, 17-22 AUGUST 1966. 1. A PRELIMINARY REVIEW OF THE KNOWN ICBM LAUNCH FACILITIES REVEALS THAT SIX OF THE DEPLOYED COMPLEXES INCLUDING ALEYSK, DOM~BAROVSKIY, IMENI GASTELLO, KARTALY, KOZELSK AND ZHANGIZ-TOBE ARE COVERED BY CLEAR PHOTOGRAPHY. THE PLESETSK AND VERKHNYAYA SALDA COMPLEX ARE OBSERVED THROUGH SCATTERED-TO-HEAVY CLOUDS. TWO TYPE IIIC SITES AT IMENI GASTELLO, 1 TYPE IIIC SITE AT KARTALY AND 2 TYPE IIID SITES AT KOZELSK ARE NEWLY IDENTIFIED. 2. THE TYURATAM MISSILE TEST CENTER IS COVERED BY CLOUD- FREE PHOTOGRAPHY. 3. AT THE KAPUSTIN YAR/VLADIMIROVKA MISSILE TEST CENTER ONLY THE SAM LAUNCH COMPLEX IS CLOUD-FREE. SCATTERED-TO-HEAVY CLOUDS COVER THE REMAINDER OF THE CENTER. 4. ONLY THE SAM LAUNCH COMPLEX AT THE SHUANG-CHENG-TZU MISSILE TEST CENTER IS COVERED BY PHOTOGRAPHY, WHICH IS CLEAR AND FAIR. 5. A PRELIMINARY REVIEW OF 14 OF THE 14 DEPLOYED LONG RANGE SAM COMPLEXES PREDICTED FOR COVERAGE BY THIS MISSION REVEALS THAT FOUR (4) OF THE COMPLEXES INCLUDING TALLINN, KIMRY, FEODOSIYA AND MOZHAYSK IMAGED ON CLEAR COVERAGE. THE LENINGRAD NW, SCI AND NE, LIEPAJA, PERESLAVL-ZALESSKIY AND NIZHNYAYA TURA COMPLEXES ARE OBSERVED THROUGH SCATTERED-TO-HEAVY CLOUDS. PLESETSK IS CLOUD COVERED AND NIZHNIY TAGIL, SVERDLOVSK AND KALININ ARE NOT COVERED. 6. THE FOLLOWING ABM LAUNCH COMPLEXES AT MOSKVA ARE OBSERVED E03, E05, E21, E24, E31 AND E33. 7. PRELIMINARY ANALYSIS OF COVERAGE OF NORTH VIETNAM SHOWS PASS 119D TO BE 30 PERCENT CLOUD COVER AND PASS 135D TO BE 40 PERCENT CLOUD COVER. 8. THE SARY-SHAGAN ANTIMISSILE TEST CENTER IS COVERED ON GENERALLY CLEAR PHOTOGRAPHY EXCEPT INSTRUMENTATION SITE 15. 9. THE ONLY DUAL HEN HOUSE FACILITIES COVERED ARE SKRUNDA AND SARY-SHAGAN SITE 13 ON FAIR, HAZY PHOTOGRAPHY. 10. THE EMBA MISSILE TEST CENTER IS IMAGED ON CLEAR PHOTOGRAPHY. 11. OSTROV VOZROZHDENIYA ISLAND IS COVERED BY HAZY PHOTOGRAPHY. NO NEW FEATURES OBSERVED. 12. PEI-CHING MISSILE DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION CENTER, CHANG-HSIN-TIEN AND PEI-CHING AIRFRAME PLANT ARE COVERED. NO AIRCRAFT OR PLANT DETAILS VISIBLE AT THE AIRFRAME PLANT.
