This report is a partial answer to DIA
requirement DIA-API-63-88, to verify or pin-
point the location of Soviet military garrisons
in Poland and to perform a photo analysis to
determine boundaries of the installations, to
determine function, number and dimensions of
buildings, to estimate troop capacity, and to
identify and describe related training areas
and facilities and ammunition or POL storage.
This report is a supplement to PIR 32-59
1/ which was based on Ophotography.
photography was also used to com-
pile this report. In addition, the best available
photography was used to search for
possible changes in the installation since the
described below are shown in Figure 1.

Troop capacity: 1,504*
*Troop capacity is computed on a basis of 50 square feet of
space per man.
The latest available photographic coverage
reveals no apparent change in facilities from
PIR 32-59. The installation, designated Jauer
Military Barracks in PIR 32-59, . contains:
5 multistory barracks with a total of 75,200
square feet of floor space*
1 multistory administration building with a
total of 27,200 square feet of floor space
6 one-story storage buildings with a total
of 51,100 square feet of floor space
7. buildings (function undetermined) with a
total of 52,975 square feet of floor space,
and
1 vehicle maintenance building with a total
of 8,800 square feet of floor space
no ammunition or POL storage observed.
Training Area
1 associated training area is located 0.5
mile north-northeast, and another 0.5
mile south-southwest of the barracks
area.
*Multistory building floor space is calculated on the basis
of two stories unless otherwise specified.
