SZEGED ARMY BARRACKS NO 8, HUNGARY
This report is a partial answer to D[A re-
quirement DIAXX 63-84, to verify the location
of selected military installations in Ilungary,
and. to perform a photo analysis of these in-
stallations to determine function, number of
dimensions of buildings, to estimate troop
capacity, to identify and. describe related train-
ing areas and facilities, and to confirm or negate
ammunition and POL storage. 't'his report
covers a specific military installation in the
Szeged area.
Photography of- was used tode-
termine dimensions and functions of buildings.
KEYIIOLE photography of con-
firmed the location of this installation; however,
due to poor quality photography, po additional
information could be obtained.
The installation described below is shown on
Figure 1.

13 acres and contains:

with 2 :Four-story wings 265 by 50 feet,
and 1 five-story central section 80 by 50
feet, a total of 126,000 square feet of floor
space
2 administration buildings, one L-shaped
150 by 35, 75 by 35 feet, and one
rectangular 135 by 35 feet, a total of
12,600 square feet
2 storage buildings 190 by 35 feet, a total
of 13,300 square feet
1 revetted storage area containing 3 possi-
ble ammunition storage buildings 15 by 15
feet, a total of 675 square feet
7 miscellaneous support buildings ranging
from 90 by 40 to 10 by 10 feet
no observed POL storage
A 92-acre training area containing trench
systems is located north and east of this
installation.
The unconfirmed ammunition storage area
reported at U`1'M coordinates 34TDS 247165
(geographical coordinates 46-11-50N 020-01-
39E) is not observed. Aone-nautical-mile-
radius search from the above coordinates re-
vealed no ammunition storage areas.
