STRZEGOM MILITARY BARRACKS, POLAND
This report is a partial answer to DIA re-
quirement DIA-Al'1-63-88, to verify or pinpoint
the location of Soviet military garrisons in
Poland and to perform a photo analysis to deter-
mine boundaries of the installations, to deter-
mine function, number and dimensions of build-
ings, to estimate troop capacity, and to identify
and describe related training areas andfacili-
tics and ammunition or POL storage. This re-
port covers a specific installation in the Strze-
25X1 D gom area. The installation is shown in Figure 1.

This rail- and road - served barracks area
on the cast edge of Strzegom covers approxi-
mately 20 acres and contains:
*Troop capacity is computed on a basis of 50 square feet
of space per man.
8 multistory barracks buildings, three 220
by 70, one 130 by 70, two 110 by 55, one
85 by 55, and one 65 by 55 feet, a total
for the eight barracks buildings of
151,300 square feet of floor space*
3 multistory, U-shaped barracks buildings
325 by 55 feet each (total length of base
and wings), a total for the three barracks
buildings of 107,250 square feet of floor
space, and a grand total for the 11 bar-
racks buildings of 258,550 square feet
of floor space
I multistory, irregular-shaped adminis-
tration building with a total of 82,000
square feet of floor space
3 one-story storage buildings, 185 by 45,
130 by 65, and 110 by 45, a total of
21,725 square feet of floor space, and
I multistory probable officers' quarters
65 by 65, a total of 8,450 square feet of
floor space.
No associated training areas, facilities,
ammunition or POL storage are observed.
*Multistory building floor space is calculated on the basis
of two stories unless otherwise specified.
