This secured military barracks and training
center with billeting facilities for 15,031 troops
(based on 50 sq ft of floor space per man) is lo-
cated in the western part of Vladimir (Figure 1).
It covers approximately 220 acres and contains
172 buildings as shown in the tabulation.
Other facilities include 2 drill fields and 2
small arms firing ranges, one 585 by 45 ft and
the other 355 by 45 ft. A tracked-vehicle training

southwest edge of the barracks area had been

A tracked-vehicle training area of approxi-
mately 450 acres is located 4 miles west of the
Vladimir Army Barracks and Training Center
described above and is connected to it by a
well-traveled dirt road. It contains four 220 by
50 ft probable storage buildings (44,000 sq ft)
and 2 support buildings, 150 by 60 and 120 by
70 ft (17,400 sq ft).
