This training area consisting primarily of a
wheeled-vehicle driver training course covers
1,047 acres and is located 2 miles (3.2 kilo-
meters) north of Khmelnitskiy at 49-27N 027-
01E. It contains six storage buildings probably
secured in the central portion and six prob-
able barracks /support buildings in the south-
west section.
This training area, associated with Khmel-
nitskiy Army Barracks Rakovo (BE No _
25X1 A _ covers approximately 4,370 acres and is
located immediately south of Khmelnitskiy Air-
field at 49-23N 027-01E. It contains an open
area for combat training exercises, two small
arms ranges, 55 by 545 feet and 75 by 435 feet;
a moving target tank firing range with a target
distance of 3,955 feet (from static firing line
to target) and two 2,290-foot firing lanes, and
an apparently inactive probable moving target
firing range with a maximum target distance of
4,130 feet, five 2,390 feet firing lanes, and an un-
determined number of target runs.

The training areas have good access roads.
A rail line is adjacent to the northeastern edge
of Training Area B, but no railcar loading ramps
were observed. Facilities of significance in the
vicinity of the training areas include the Khmel-
nitskiy Fixed Field MRBM site and Khmel-
nitskiy Airfield.
No artillery firing positions, impact areas,
bivouac areas, tent camps, engineer train-
ing or water-crossing training sites, air-
borne or air transportability training facil-
ities were observed.
