A military barracks and storage area is lo-
cated in the northern part of Bykhov (53-30N
030-15E), approximately 2 kilometers (km)
northeast of the Bykhov Airfield (Figure 1). The
installation is served by the streets of Bykhov.
Although not rail served, a rail siding in Bykhov
is readily accessible by road.
The installation is divided into three sepa-
rately secured areas connected by a good all-
weather road (Figures 2 and 3). It covers 76
acres and contains 89 buildings: five adminis-
tration, 16 barracks, 40 storage, 26 support, and
two maintenance/storage. A motor pool, an open
storage area, one possible small arms firing
range, and one athletic field are also located at
this installation.
The area is covered by ^ TALENT pho-
tography and by eight KEYHOLE missions be-
tween
The barracks area was reported in Army
DPIR-24-58 (based on =TALENT coverage)
as an antiaircraft artillery training area. A
comparative study of the later missions indicate
the AAA training facilities no longer exist in this
area. It appears the barracks area is now used
in conjunction with the storage area.
Significant changes between
in the barracks area include the
addition of five barracks, three administration,
and six support buildings. In the storage area,
12 additional storage buildings were constructed
between Between
